646f9e108c Avid movie-watcher and video store clerk Bazil has had his life all but ruined by weapons of war. His father was killed by a landmine in Morocco and one fateful night a stray bullet from a nearby shootout embeds itself in his skull, leaving him on the verge of instantaneous death. Losing his job and his home, Bazil wanders the streets until he meets Slammer, a pardoned convict who introduces him to a band of eccentric junkyard dealers including Calculator, a math expert and statistician, Buster, a record-holder in human cannonball feats, Tiny Pete, an artistic craftsman of automatons, and Elastic Girl, a sassy contortionist. When chance reveals to Bazil the two weapons manufacturers responsible for building the instruments of his destruction, he constructs a complex scheme for revenge that his newfound family is all too happy to help set in motion. A man and his friends come up with an intricate and original plan to destroy two big weapons manufacturers. I enjoyed this movie, and there's much to like in it. It's visually thrilling, and has some really creative props and sets. The characters are all charming, like a weird combination of street performers and a team of comic book heroes. It's like an extended version of the scene in Amelié where she terrorizes the fruit merchant, only here it happens to two characters (who blame each other for it). The traps and "heists" are all enjoyablecreative and cartoonish schemes, and I can imagine Jeunet hadmuch fun coming up with them hat I had watching them.

The only thing that is really lacking in this movie is the level of ambition. Jeunet has not set out to create a marvelous story, instead using his charms and creativity to create an fun little story that can be enjoyed by young and old. If there's a comment on weapons manufacturers, it's aboutstronga Disney comic. None of the characters has much of an arch through the movie, all of them ending up pretty muchthey started (only in different circumstances). There's a love story, but it's only function is for some gags throughout. I'm not saying all of these are bad things - but just not what Jeunet seems to want from this movie. Clearly not everyone's dish of the'. Apart from myself and companion the multiplex screening - on a Saturday - was empty. Depending on your taste/point of view the selling points will be the stellar cast - Yolande Moreau, Dominic Pinon, Andre Dussollier, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Danny Boon - or director (and co-writer) Jeunet. The latter will find MicMacs closer in overall feel to Delicatessen and especially City Of Lost Children than Amelie and A Very Long Engagement. This is a Jeunet with a serious point to make albeit he opts for satire rather than out and out drama to do so. The target is arms-dealing and many people would agree it is a trade that can stand attacking. The David who takes on not one but two Goliaths is Danny Boon, an innocent victim twice over and he is abetted by a rag-bag of eccentrics who live outside society and live by scavenging. It's a movie of images and wacky performances and if that's for you then so is this. At its best, Micmacs is a robust, enjoyably lunatic game. It's social commentary by way of a good Looney Tune. The director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, has suggested the word "Micmacs" could be translated"shenanigans" (meaning to be mischievous or deceitful). The rest of the title "à tire-larigot" could be translated"non-stop" or "all the time" – therefore, the title could be translated to English"Non-Stop Shenanigans" or "Shenanigans All the Time". malayalam movie download VipersL'enqu te corse movie free download hdEpisode 1.6 full movie in hindi free download mp4Episode 4.3 online freeThe Red Siren movie download hdPandora's Box download moviesThe Laws of the Universe Part 0 movie in hindi dubbed downloadCry of Battle in hindi 720pMaradona movie in hindi hd free downloadSearch and Destroy download torrent
